Institute for Functional Materials Chemistry

On March 3, 2025, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine signed an agreement to continue the implementation of the scientific project "Development of New Materials Based on Supramolecular Systems for Biomedical and Veterinary Applications."

Based on the project's success in the "Infrastructures for Advanced Research" competition (decision of the NRFU Scientific Council dated June 27, 2024, Protocol No. 20), as well as the Council's decision to provide grant funding in 2025 (dated February 27, 2025, Protocol No. 10), Agreement No. 129/0003 dated March 3, 2025, was signed. Under this agreement, the team of scientists at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of the NAS of Ukraine received grant support to conduct research in the fields of materials science and supramolecular chemistry.

The main goal of the project is to develop new materials for biomedical and veterinary use, particularly those based on supramolecular "host–guest" systems, as well as rotaxane and pseudorotaxane structures. In cooperation with the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of the NAS of Ukraine will continue to contribute to the advancement of science and technology, aiming to achieve significant results for both Ukraine and the international scientific community.
