Within the framework of the NRFU project "Development of New Materials Based on Supramolecular Systems for Biomedical and Veterinary Applications", the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of the NAS of Ukraine successfully completed the procurement and installation of a lyophilizer (freeze dryer), Alpha 3-4 LSCbasic, in November 2024.
This state-of-the-art instrument is a crucial component of the infrastructure being developed by the project team at the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry. The lyophilizer enables efficient solvent removal and drying of compounds sensitive to high temperatures or prone to decomposition in solution. This opens up new possibilities for the development of innovative materials, including those for biomedical and veterinary applications.
The equipment will be available to researchers through a shared-use center to be established as an outcome of the project.
