"Sociology in Chemistry: Kharkiv Melody for Supramolecules" – an article by science journalist Olena Zelina, published in the online edition "Gromada. Group"
The article discusses the creation of an advanced center for supramolecular research in Kharkiv, based at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of NAS of Ukraine. This achievement was made possible by the victory of the team of young scientists from the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of NAS of Ukraine (Kharkiv) in the prestigious NRFU competition "Infrastructures for advanced research".
The project "Development of new materials based on supramolecular systems for biomedical and veterinary applications", which brought victory to our scientists, is focused on the chemistry of supramolecular compounds. Importantly, the execution of this project involves the acquisition of new, unique equipment, which will establish a robust scientific and infrastructure base for the further development of supramolecular chemistry both at the SSI "Institute for Single Crystals" of NAS of Ukraine in Kharkiv and in Ukraine as a whole.
Despite the ongoing aggression from russia, it is crucial to support existing and establish new centers of innovative research, which will serve as the foundation for the country's recovery after the war.
